Kevin Brennan Writes About What It's Like
I’ve been nominated for the WordPress 5 in 1 Award and the WordPress Family Award by the dynamic Marie Bailey of 1WriteWay. I’m delighted to accept the 5 in 1, because, let’s face it, five at once is better than doing this five different times, assuming someone might nominate me for all of them. I’m not sure what some of the awards mean, but I’ll take ‘em anyway! Thank you, Marie.
I think I’ll take a pass on the Family Award. Its logo gives me a creepy feeling (you can see it at 1WriteWay). “Go to the light…” I don’t know. My nominees below will thank me, I bet, for letting them off the hook too. Like I said earlier, groups make the hair on the back of my neck stand up, so to be part of some nebulous “family” isn’t a goal for me. Is there an Old Curmudgeon Award?
The rules for the 5 in 1 are, according to Marie (who cheats):
1) Display the award logos on your blog.
2) Thank and link back to the person who nominated you.
3) Nominate as many bloggers as you wish.
4) Let your nominees know via a comment on their blog.
There are no questions to be answered, or asked. Celebrate!
Here are the lovely logos:
And my nominees are:
Francis Guenette of Disappearing in Plain Sight http://disappearinginplainsight.com/
“Max” of A Pen Full of Vinegar http://apenfullofvinegar.wordpress.com/
Margaret Langstaff http://margaretjeanlangstaff.com/
Phillip McCollum http://phillipmccollum.com/
Kristy Gillespie of Keep Calm & Write On http://kristyfgillespie.com/
Michael D. Kelleher of Crows Dream http://mdkelleher.wordpress.com/
I’m also going to take this opportunity to nominate myself (and accept on behalf of myself) Mr. Kelleher’s coveted Eye of Yak Award, and you can too: http://mdkelleher.wordpress.com/eye-of-yak-award/ It has simple rules (none) and a very appealing logo:
I’ll be happy to display it in the sidebar, along with my fiver.
Thanks again, Marie!
