Kevin Brennan Writes About What It's Like

Shakedown Wednesday — save a sick puppy, won’t you?

No, there is no sick puppy. But yes, it’s shakedown day here at What The Hell. That means I’m going to ask you to part with $2.99 and purchase your copy of Yesterday Road. Simply click on the itty bitty cover image to the left there, and you’ll be whisked to the Amazon purchase page for quick n’ easy wireless downloading. It is, by and large, painless.

Tell you what. Very briefly last week, YR was #73 on the Amazon Literary Humor list, and I know for a fact that was on the basis of a modest number of copies sold. That means that if we were to move, say, ten or twelve copies today, #63 is quite doable, maybe even #53. Wouldn’t that be cool? Wouldn’t you like to be part of that kind of momentum? I know I would.

If you’ve already bought the book, take a moment today to tell a few people about it. An email to five friends or family members, a text to co-workers, a tweet, a blithe mention in passing, or even a spontaneous outburst on the bus. Anything will help.

And if you prefer a format other than Kindle, you can visit Smashwords and take your pick.

By the way, Yesterday Road is currently sitting pretty with three five-star reviews. I need two more for Amazon to incorporate review quotes into the book information area, and — though I know it’s a ways off — seven more before I qualify for other promotional outlets like Ereader News Today and The Fussy Librarian.

Help this adorable puppy…won’t you?

What the hell. Alright I bought it. Can’t read it for two more weeks. Then I’ll write a review. You are now on my “helped puppy” list

You’re a gentleman and a scholar, John. Much appreciated! (The puppy is feeling pretty chipper now…)

Sign of a very good book if I forget to pay attention to my stops! Has only happened once before in the last year!
