WHAT THE HELL

Kevin Brennan Writes About What It's Like

A new book recommendation site: Just One Book

Library stacks

Looks like it’s just getting off the ground, but Just One Book is a place where readers recommend — you guessed it: Just One Book. There are only twelve books on the shelf there at the moment, but the founders are inviting submissions, so if you have an all-time favorite, why not shoot it on over? (The link they provide leads to an email address. Have your text ready to paste in.)

I always find the one-book question impossible to answer. Usually something I’ve read recently comes to mind, or something so classic that everyone’s already read it anyway. One title leads to another…and another…and another.

So. If you could pick just one book for us to read…

I love this idea! But the recommendations sadly follow the trend of most major book review and media sites: Heavily saturated with male authors. I shall change that with my suggestions, hee, hee. Have a great weekend, Kevin!

I noticed that myself, but even more interesting is that several women recommended them!

I’d be tempted to put The Shipping News out there…

      Looking forward to your pick!
