Kevin Brennan Writes About What It's Like

Pricing updates: a freebie!

Children thumbnailFrom now on (or at least for the foreseeable future), Our Children Are Not Our Children will be free at all the non-Amazon outlets. I’d make it free at Amazon too, but they won’t let me, so it still costs 99 cents there. You could pay a buck for it as a gratuity, I suppose…

Anyway, via Barnes & Noble, Kobo, iTunes, and Smashwords, OCANOC is now yours for the taking.

Meanwhile, now that the promotion is over, Yesterday Road is jumping up to $4.99 at all outlets. I think it’s worth a fiver, don’t you?

Who knows what the magical price point is for indies? Nobody, is what I think. You go too low, and people think it could be crappy; too high and they wonder who you think you are. Maybe $4.99 is a happy medium.

Time will tell!

Once they find it free on other sites they will most likely do the same. That’s the secret to the permafree books in amazon.

If you want to speed the process up with Amazon, go to your book page. Near the bottom is a feedback section. Click on the customer service option and report the book as cheaper yourself. It will take a couple of days but they will change your price to match.
