Kevin Brennan Writes About What It's Like

I almost forgot! Bill Burroughs’ Thanksgiving Prayer

No Thanksgiving would be complete without these tender thoughts from the master of glib nihilism.

Ahahaha! Fantastic. I love that YouTube saw fit to stick a Target ad in front of the clip.

Really? I have Ad Blocker or some such thing, so I didn’t see that. Bill would approve, I have to think…

I played this in the kitchen, and my turkey burst into flames. But the crabberry salad has a nice hint of vitriol now.

I think “crabberry” salad is the perfect dish to serve with Burroughs! 😉

NICE! Always like seeing posts/shares that highlight “um…no matter how many times you say, “Nope! All is good! I have a positive attitude and that, in the end, allows me to not take action, and ignore the places where we aren’t living up to the ideal picture we’ve built upon since the Declaration of Independence” – – :).

Author Mark Manson is using the marketing term “Negative Self-Help” in, I believe a sarcastic commentary against the Positive Thinking marketing trend that is buried so deep in our culture, few realize it – –

Why yes, when the you-know-what hits the fan, you must have the internal tools to combat it and keep on moving – on the other hand, the Positive Thinking, ALWAYS and not ever even acknowledging, “Um, there’s a problem here – – this doesn’t work, really, long term” just chaps my arse –

Sorry I blogged in your comments area – – but – various discussions and interactions over the past 6 weeks have me fired up on this and commenting where/when I see the dualism playing out – – LOL.

Happy Holiday Season that stretches before us! 😀
