Author Mark Manson is using the marketing term “Negative Self-Help” in, I believe a sarcastic commentary against the Positive Thinking marketing trend that is buried so deep in our culture, few realize it – –
Why yes, when the you-know-what hits the fan, you must have the internal tools to combat it and keep on moving – on the other hand, the Positive Thinking, ALWAYS and not ever even acknowledging, “Um, there’s a problem here – – this doesn’t work, really, long term” just chaps my arse –
