Kevin Brennan Writes About What It's Like

As Dan Hazlitt in Town Father says, “All is illusion…”

Here’s a brief diversion for New Years Day. Artist Alexa Meade turns the idea of trompe l’oeil on its head by making real people and objects look like they’re in a painting. You can see several of her videos showing the process on her YouTube channel.

I love stuff like this. And I love, too, the fact that Meade is a self-taught painter. It goes to show that you can have a dynamic vision and make it come to life without academia getting its mitts on you.

Have a great start to the new year, everybody.
