So Fascination is coming out next week, or thereabouts. This is all very relaxed and informal — #guerrillapublishing, right? — but let’s call August 8 – 12 Launch Week.
Tomorrow you get to see the cover.
Wednesday you get a little synopsis, or as near to one as I can knit together.
Thursday you’ll get a chance to download a pdf of the opening few pages.
Friday through Sunday you’ll build a sense of anticipation while figuring out how much you’d like to pay for this unique edition — $3.99 and up.
And Monday? I’ll be here with my order book open and ready …
By the way, a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I couldn’t enter Yesterday Road or Occasional Soulmates in the Publishers Weekly BookLife contest because they each mention a living person (Leonardo DiCaprio and Jude Law, respectively). Well, it just dawned on me that Fascination is in the same boat! A famous lad name of Matt Damon makes a cameo appearance, so no prize money for me this time either.
I really have to stop casting handsome young actors in my novels …
This might be a horrible thing to say but maybe one of them will, you know, have a little accident and then you can submit to the contest, lol. (OMG, wouldn’t that make a great novel premise?) Cheers and can’t wait to read “Fascination.”
Ooh, you devil! I would never wish any ill on Leonardo, Jude, or Matt. 😉
The interesting thing is that all of the living people you end up mentioning in your stories are all of the same particular ilk.
Yeah, kinda weird. I must be working something out vicariously … At least I’ve kept Ben Affleck out of the mix so far!
I am sooooo looking forward to this.
