Yesterday, over at The Disappointed Housewife, we published a cool short story by a young writer named Katrina Byrd. It feels like a cross between The Handmaid’s Tale and The Stepford Wives, but what really distinguishes it is that Katrina chose for her point of view the rarely used first-person plural. It’s a collective consciousness telling the story, which sets up an amazing feeling of involvement. You’re literally inside the mind of the group.
Head on over to TDH to read “Blessed Are They” by Katrina Byrd.
And while you’re there, be sure to follow the site. I’d love to be able to provide at least hundreds of readers to writers like Katrina, but right now we’re still well under 50. If you can persuade your own WordPress readership to follow The Housewife, we’ll be on the way to our first 100!
As Pedro says, follow The Disappointed Housewife and “all of your wildest dreams will come true.”
