Bringing to your attention a terrific new poem over at The Disappointed Housewife, “On the Earth of Lincoln County, Washington, on Saint Valentine’s Day, 1993,” by Robert Keeler.
Get over there and read it. It’s a syllabic poem, metered in a subtle way (ten syllables per), but it’s also an imagistic beauty you’ll want to track through several times.
Here’s Robert Keeler’s bio: born in St. Paul, Minnesota; lived in jungles of Colombia, S.A., up to age twelve; Duke, BS Mathematics NCSU, MS Computer Science UNC, MBA UCLA, Certificate in Poetry UW; Honorman, U.S. Naval Submarine School, “SS” (Submarine Service) qualified, Vietnam Service Medal, Honorable Discharge; Member IEEE, AAAS, AAP.
Let’s pump up the numbers on this one, What The Hellers!
