Kevin Brennan Writes About What It's Like
I just felt like it was time to refresh this baby, which I published about seven years ago right about now. It was the lead-up to my first indie novel arriving later in the fall, Yesterday Road. I wanted to make sure I could handle the ins and outs of self-publishing, so I put together a small collection of stories I had on hand, all of which had to do in one way or another with children afflicted, through no fault of their own, with terrible parents.
You can listen to my reading of one of the tiny tales, “Day Care,” here.
Nowadays the collection runs you 99 cents, if you’ve never had a chance to pick up a copy before. Have a look, and if you’re of a mind, grab yourself a copy so you can have the new cover on your Nook or Kindle in all its colorful glory.
As usual, I put it together on Canva, where I’m always discovering new tools to make my book covers more interesting. You can do so much now with color manipulation, transparency, and graphic details, and I always have a blast making one of these.
Hardly seems like seven years have flown by since I did this thing. Now I am scared!
