How about a nice ’80s-style pub anthem to end a monster year?
If there’s one thing 2020 has taught us, it’s that we need to learn to be more patient. If we don’t want to become a patient, that is.
But I’ve also found as I get older that patience pays off in a daily way and your head feels better for it. So here’s “(Tomorrow Comes) Soon Enough,” which might help as a mantra for coping with the rest of our time with this infernal pandemic. The plague has been with us as long as it takes a baby to gestate, but the baby eventually gets born and before you know it she graduates from high school.
In other words, forget about tomorrow and soak up today’s good stuff.
I just sucked down a hot chocolate, for instance, and it really hit the spot.
As always, I’m no singer but the song has words so I sung ‘em. Happy New Year, everybody!
No need for me to seize the day,
Nothing in my reach is gonna go away,
I’m dressed to kill,
This ain’t no drill,
But now I’m chill chill chill chill chill.
They say the sun also rises,
Hey, man, I don’t need no crisis!
